3/8/2024 0 Comments Rainmeter hwinfo cpu temp![]() ![]() I really recommend HWiNFO in your case, as CoreTemp currently does not support reading temperatures for the GPU, only the GPU.ĭeviantART is a good resource for existing skins. There are two that are well supported in Rainmeter: 1 Hi all, used Hwinfo and rainmeter on my old pc for years to monitor temps, drives, network etc Recently built a new pc and for the life of me i cannot get cpu temps to show using hwinfo. ![]() If you click the circle in the list, a window opens so you can edit the list, change the HWiNFO Index values and the text in the Gauge. To return these values, you must define the new optional parameter in your skin - HWiNFOType. It now includes the capability to display the sensor name, entry name and entry units. 2) SpeedFan : Very robust information about CPU and GPU temperatures, fan speeds and loads. This plug-in and skin for Rainmeter has been updated to version 1.1.0. ![]() Perfectly fine if you are mostly interested in CPU and case temperatures. Core n (nany number): Actual temperature of a particular CPU core. CPU Package (TSI): Available on pre-Zen AMD CPUs is the CPU temperature obtained via TSI interface. Verify using one or both of these programs. CPU Package: Shown on Intel CPUs represents a 256-millisecond average value (calculated by CPU) of the hottest temperature sensor within the CPU package. Doesnt monitor fan speeds or GPU information. There may be something wrong with the motherboard or thermal sensors, or you may have inadvertently turned off thermal monitoring in the bios somehow. When you double click it, a list that contains up to 6 sensors will show up. My take on the various approaches: 1) CoreTemp : Quite good, built-in Rainmeter plugin, but a little limited. To monitor temperatures, you will need to be running one of several 3rd-party applications, and then use a corresponding Rainmeter plugin to get the values from the application. They come with 4 variants to choose and are resizable by scrolling with the mouse. ![]()
